Strike Up The Band!

Students and families were treated to a wonderful night of music at the recent school Spring Band Concert held in Siena Hall. Under the direction of teacher Ms. Martha Boughner, students in grades 3 through 8 performed music selections from around the world, playing in three sections: recorders, cadet band, and advanced band.

Thank You Mom!

Preschool 4 student Lukas C. lovingly gives his mom, Jennifer, a beautiful handmade flower he created in class with the help of his teacher Mrs. Mary Giaquinto.

Cinco de Mayo

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, students at St. Catherine of Siena School utilized technology, music, and culinary skills to make presentations about Spanish culture. Shown above, Natalie D. (left) presents fried plantains for the tasting, Alleyna J. (center) plays a lovely Spanish song on the clarinet, and Ashley H. (right) presents in PowerPoint cultural facts about Cinco de Mayo. Grades 4-7 made presentations this past week under the guidance of Spanish teacher Mrs. Janet Gonzalez.

Alumni Alyssa Freitas performed recently in the part of Reverand Mother (the lead) in Lacordaire Academy's Spring Musical Nunsense where also our own Mr. Albert Ganter performed as Musical Director Priest...Fr. Patrick for a weekend.
