Santa Sale
Eight grade students joined together to host the annual Santa Sale to raise money for SCS graduation week events. Gift items, complimentary gift wrapping, and shopping assistance enriched the two day sale which was attended by parents and students alike, making a fun time for all. Colonial Village
Mrs. Scalo's seventh grade students at St. Catherine of Siena School presented a living Colonial Village to parents and students on November 18 in Siena Hall. Students were first required to write research papers about a specific colonial trade. They then demonstrated their trade in a mock Colonial Village, while dressed in period clothing.

Pancake Breakfast
Hotcakes and smiles filled Siena Hall during this year’s annual Pancake Breakfast. Tons of school volunteers and parishioners filled the gym for a delicious morning breakfast.

Our Forensics team came in 3rd of 10 schools in their first meet of the season, category: Interpretive ReadingThree team members placed in the top 10 finals, with one placing 3rd.

Fire Prevention
The Cedar Grove Fire Department brought their rig and gear to St. Catherine of Siena School to teach students about fire prevention and safety. Grades preschool through third attended the demonstrations given by the Cedar Grove Firemen.

Strike Up The Band!
Students and families were treated to a wonderful night of music at the recent school Spring Band Concert held in Siena Hall. Under the direction of teacher Ms. Martha Boughner, students in grades 3 through 8 performed music selections from around the world, playing in three sections: recorders, cadet band, and advanced band.

Cinco de Mayo
To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, students at St. Catherine of Siena School utilized technology, music, and culinary skills to make presentations about Spanish culture. Shown above, Natalie D. Students plant a tree for Arbor Day
To celebrate National Arbor Day, third grade students from St. Catherine of Siena School in Cedar Grove planted a tree recently with the help of Mr. Anthony Latella, of Latella Landscaping, in Cedar Grove. The tree planting was scheduled as part of the class's environmental studies where they are learning about the 3R's - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, as well as gaining an appreciation of the earth's natural resources, including trees.

Recently in March the annual Sports Award dinner for Basketball and Cheerleading was held in Siena Hall. A buffet dinner was served, coaches spoke, and a slide show of the season was presented. A wonderful time was had by all.
