Strike Up The Band!

Students and families were treated to a wonderful night of music at the recent school Spring Band Concert held in Siena Hall. Under the direction of teacher Ms. Martha Boughner, students in grades 3 through 8 performed music selections from around the world, playing in three sections: recorders, cadet band, and advanced band.

Spring Band Concert

Saint Catherine of Siena School's band performed a Spring Concert in Siena Hall on May 21, 2009. Shown left, SCS third grade recorder student Meghan D. makes her musical debut onstage with her classmates. The Advanced Band, Cadet Band and recorder students all played beautifully under the direction of teacher Miss Martha Boughner.

Travel Band plays SHU

St. Catherine of Siena School band students joined other Future Musician students in the area on Saturday, February 7 at the Seton Hall University Lady Pirate game in South Orange. Students played at half time under the direction of SCS band teacher Miss Martha Boughner.

Band Christmas Concert

St. Catherine of Siena School held a Christmas Band Concert on November 19, in Siena Hall. Beginner band and Advanced band students performed holiday music under the direction of Miss Martha Boughner. Shown left, 8th grade student Brian M. plays the drums.
