Strike Up The Band!
Students and families were treated to a wonderful night of music at the recent school Spring Band Concert held in Siena Hall. Under the direction of teacher Ms. Martha Boughner, students in grades 3 through 8 performed music selections from around the world, playing in three sections: recorders, cadet band, and advanced band.

Cinco de Mayo
To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, students at St. Catherine of Siena School utilized technology, music, and culinary skills to make presentations about Spanish culture. Shown above, Natalie D. (left) presents fried plantains for the tasting, Alleyna J. (center) plays a lovely Spanish song on the clarinet, and Ashley H. (right) presents in PowerPoint cultural facts about Cinco de Mayo. Grades 4-7 made presentations this past week under the guidance of Spanish teacher Mrs. Janet Gonzalez.
